Agricultural Free Patent Reform Act

Agricultural Free Patent Reform Act, Republic Act No. 11231, approved February 22, 2019. The restrictions under Sections 118, 119 and 121 of Commonwealth Act No. 141, as amended, regarding acquisitions, encumbrances, conveyances, transfers, or dispositions of agricultural public lands alienated or disposed in favor of qualified public land applicants. In essence, this law made agricultural free patent as title in fee simple, not subject to any restriction on encumbrance or alienation. The law has a retroactive effect.
