Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act

Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act, Republic Act No. 11229, approved February 22, 2019. Criminalized for the road, street or highway unless the child is at least one hundred fifty (150) centimeters or fifty-nine (59) inches in height and is properly secured using the regular seat belt. Exceptions: medical emergencies, when the child has a medical or developmental condition, and other analogous circumstances. Children below 12 years old are also required to be at the rear seat of an automobile.
