Today is the Feast Day of the Black Nazarene.
May in our remembrance today of the Black Nazarene we recall as well the thousands dead and thousands more incarcerated because of this fake war on drugs.
Jesus the Nazarene, You Who suffered for our sins, look upon Your people in the Orient, touch the hearts of our leaders that they may view every individual as created in Your Image and let them realize that the pain they inflict upon Your people is pain they inflict upon You; soothe the grief of those orphaned and left behind; and uplift the spirits of those who are holding the line, that they will find courage in each other and offer their fears to You, confident in Your Will that each human being, each of whom is created in Your image, will be dignified.
